***PLAYERS ONLY NEED TO ATTEND ONE TRYOUT SESSION***
No make-up dates will be held unless there is a rain out. If you are unavailable for the provided dates, feel free to reach out to the appropriate coach(es) for your childs age to attempt to work something out.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: I can't make either of the tryout dates. What can I do?
A: You can reach out to the coaches of the travel teams for your chid's age group and ask them if they can see your child at another time. To email a coach, click on Teams -> choose a team -> travel -> appropriate age (ex. 8U) -> team name. This will bring you to the team's page. Click "contacts" on the left and then the "email" button under the coach's name. Remember next year's 10U coach is this year's 9U coach, so click the appropriate age.
Q: How much does it cost to be in travel baseball?
A: Travel players pay MCPB's regular fees ($215 in 2022 if you registered prior to 1/31/2022). This covers your team's insurance, approximately 20 home games (with reciprocating away games with most opponents) including umpires, field prep, baseballs, etc. Beyond that each team will need to raise or ask families to pay for things like uniforms, tournament expenses, practice expenses, etc. That is team specific and will be determined by the coach.
Q: I don't see my son's age group listed?
A: If the teams for that age group have a full roster and don't need any players, we won't be holding tryouts at that age group. If you've already pre-registered, MCPB will work with you to get your money back. Sorry for any confusion.
